periarchicortical cingulate areas

The term periarchicortical cingulate areas refers to a group of structures defined on the basis of cytoarchitecture as parts of periarchicortex. It is a transition zone between archicortex and neocortex that is composed of area 33 of Brodmann and area 25 of Brodmann (human) ( Stephan-1975 ).
