The term medial part of the entorhinal area refers to one of two subdivisions of the entorhinal area in the rat ( Swanson-2004 ) and the mouse ( Dong-2004 ) based on internal structure. It consists of two zones, the dorsal zone of the medial part of the entorhinal area and the ventral zone of the medial part of the entorhinal area.
